Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The show ended on August 13th, 2012 after the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was teacher and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was the venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and says she goes to Passover seders.
